Baltiisk’s dam, Beluzhnitsa (named for the fish that yields black caviar) is a daughter of the famous stallion Zharkiy of the rare Voin (through Kartezhnik) sire line.  It was the kind and charismatic Zharkiy who gave our Moscow Stud Farm the great bay mare Floristika, winner of the Bars Prize over the best of her crop.

Baltiisk is well conformed with free, economic movement, trotting strongly and correctly from behind.  He is very well developed for his late birth, with good musculature and a breedy head, long neck and a good shoulder and topline.  His fine eye reflects his excellent character.
