Gartsinia

Bay filly, 17.02.2018 (Kantsler – Guvernantka)

Gartsinia is another daughter of the good stallion Kantsler.  She is the first foal of the mare Guvernantka,  daughter of the stallion Raund who represents the Barchuk sire line.  Barchuk was the amazing black stallion purchased for Altai Stud in Siberia just before the Russian Revolution of 1917.  During the revolution time and the subsequent terrible civil war, the working people of Altai Stud and those living in the nearby villages hid Barchuk and the Stud’s mares out on the Steppe every night, in order to keep their priceless horses from the hands of the marauders who pillaged the countryside.  The horses survived and these great people returned them to Altai Stud instead of selling them for food and a fortune.  Barchuk was some years later transferred to Khrenovskoy Stud where he left magnificent progeny.

This bay filly is elegant and energetic, with light movement.  Her conformation is good with a broad chest, well angled pasturns, a long neck and clean extremities.  She is breedy with expressive eyes.  Her rare breeding back to Barchuk may promise the unusual and excellent.
